The Triple
- 1 MISandbag carry + ruck
- 1 MIRuck only
- 1 MINo load
Four sessions. Four weeks. One standard. Finish all four and the patch is yours.

NOT JUST A RUCK. CARRY IT, LIFT IT, MOVE WITH IT. FINISH ALL FOUR.
Three sessions are built on distance. One is built on work under load. Every one is done in your own time, on your own ground, and logged against everyone else.

Loads shown men / women. Final submission deadline Monday 7 December, 23:59 UK time.
Sign up, pay £25 and accept the waiver. You are on the start list for 2 November.
Each week's window opens on Monday. Complete that session and submit by Sunday midnight.
Log your time or score with a watch or app screenshot and a weigh-in photo. Results go on the league table.
Finish all four at the prescribed loads and the series patch is posted to you in December.
This series runs on honesty and integrity. Carry the full weight, do every rep, log the truth.
Your time or score, a screenshot or link from your watch or app (Strava, Garmin, Apple, or the treadmill display), and one weigh-in photo: your ruck, and sandbag when used, on the scales with a note showing the date.
Week 3 submissions also need a video link (YouTube unlisted or Google Drive) of the full 20 minutes, filmed in one take.
The top 5 in each table are checked before results and prizes are confirmed, plus random spot checks across the field. No proof, no podium.
Any hold: bear hug, shoulder or front. Switch as often as you like. Set it down to rest; the clock keeps running.
Ruck on, bag on the ground. Chest touches the bag, stand up, lift the bag to full lockout overhead. Drop it and go again.
Ruck on, no sandbag. Alternate legs; the back knee touches the ground every rep.
A treadmill, a gym sled track or a measured 100m outdoors all count. Treadmill: ruck on, hands off the rails, display in shot. Sled track: laps adding up to 100m (e.g. 4 × 25m). Outdoors: mark the 100m before you start.
Hip crease below knee. Chest to the floor, arms locked at the top. Plank on forearms or hands, body in a straight line for the full 30 seconds; if the knees touch, the clock restarts.
Where a session says ruck on, it stays on your back for every rep and every metre.
Use whatever kit works for you. You don't need YOMP gear to enter, and we'll never set a competition that says you must. This series is for the whole rucking community.
Separate tables for men and women. Each session is ranked, points are awarded by placing, and the overall standings are the total across all four. Prizes for the top finishers in both tables.
THE START OF SOMETHING BIGGER.
This first series is the test run for a much larger YOMP competition in the new year. Built in the UK, open to all: entries from the EU and US are welcome and encouraged. Get in at the start.
No. There is one standard for everyone. The patch means the same thing on every pack that wears it.
Anywhere: road, trail, track or park. Distances for Weeks 1, 2 and 4 are measured by GPS. Week 3 is the exception: GPS isn't accurate over 100m, so a treadmill or a measured gym lane is allowed (see the 100m ruck standard).
Each session must be done within its own Monday to Sunday window. The patch is for finishing all four, so a missed week means no patch this series.
The cut-off is 4 hours 30, a steady march. Get a couple of longer rucks in before November. The 12-Week Rucking Plan is a good place to start.
Yes. EU and US entries are welcome and encouraged. Loads are set in pounds; in kilos that's roughly 23kg / 14kg for the sandbag, 14kg / 9kg for the ruck, and 20kg / 14kg for the 12 Miler.
Patches are posted the week after the final deadline (7 December), in time for Christmas in the UK. Overseas entrants: allow up to 7 days for your patch to arrive.
The bag counts, and so does water, but your pack must still be at least the prescribed weight when you finish, not just when you start. If you'll be drinking from it, start heavier to cover what you drink.
Any sandbag or soft bag filled to the right weight works, such as a heavy-duty holdall. No kettlebells, dumbbells or plates in place of the sandbag.
Yes. Walk, march, shuffle or run. Any pace counts, as long as the ruck stays on.
Yes, and we'd encourage it. Entries are solo, so everyone submits their own result and weigh-in photo.
No. Choose your own route. Hills are your choice and don't change the standard.
Submit what you have with a note. It's an honour system, and we'd rather you were honest than perfect.
Yes, as often as you like within that week's window. Your best result counts.
Final standings and prize winners are confirmed after the 7 December deadline, once the top-5 checks are done.
Yes. Everyone goes on the league table, but plenty of people will be there to finish rather than to compete.
Yes. Entrants must be 18 or over.
No. Entries are non-refundable, including if you're injured or can't finish. Build up to the loads before Week 1 and look after yourself.
November is dark early. Wear hi-vis and a head torch on roads, tell someone your route, and build up to the loads before Week 1. You take part at your own risk and accept the waiver at entry.
ONE STANDARD. FINISH ALL FOUR. EARN THE PATCH.
